2. What this site does not do

It is easier to start with the absences, because they are the larger part of the picture. As of the effective date above, this website:

• Sets no cookies. Not for analytics, not for advertising or sponsorship, not for functionality, not for preferences. There is nothing to consent to and no banner to dismiss. The one narrow exception — a short-lived cookie that can be set if a request is interrupted by a security challenge — is explained in the cookie policy.
• Runs no analytics script and builds no profile. Nothing in the page measures you: no analytics tag, no beacon, no pixel, no record of what you read or how long you stayed, and nothing that follows you from one page to the next. The delivery network described in section 4 produces aggregate request statistics for us as a by-product of serving the site — totals and error rates, not people — and that is the only measurement that exists here.
• Loads nothing from a third party into the page. No external fonts, scripts, stylesheets, images, embeds, maps, videos, social widgets, comment systems or anti-spam services. Every file a page needs is requested from metasilver.org and from nowhere else, so displaying a page sends your browser to no other company's domain. One company is nevertheless involved in delivering this site to you, and it is named in section 4 rather than left out.
• Takes part in no advertising network. The site may carry a sponsorship slot, but any advertising here is plain text served from this domain. No ad network, no third-party script, no tracking pixel, no cookie, and no measurement of impressions or clicks — so a sponsor is told nothing about you, including whether you saw it. This holds whether or not a slot is being shown.
• Has no user accounts, no login, no newsletter and no subscription.
• Does not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone for any purpose.

3. What is processed, and why

3.1 Messages you send us

There is no contact form on this site. The only way to reach us is to email one of the addresses on our contact page, which means this website never receives, processes or stores your message at all — it goes straight from your mail provider to ours.

• What we receive: whatever your email contains, which will normally include your address, your name as your mail client presents it, and the message itself.
• Purpose: to read your message and reply to it. Nothing else.
• Where it lives: in our mailbox, like any other email. No copy is written to this web server, to a database or to any log.
• Retention: correspondence is kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, unless a longer period is needed to deal with a legal claim or to comply with a legal obligation.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence people choose to send us.

Please do not send us sensitive information. Never send us passwords, recovery phrases, private keys, seed words, one-time codes, screenshots of wallet or banking screens, or any other secret. We will never ask for them, and we cannot use them. Email is not a secure channel. If you have already sent us something you should not have, tell us and we will delete it.

3.2 Server access logs

Like any web server, the hosting infrastructure that serves this site records a technical log entry for each request. An entry typically contains the IP address making the request, the date and time, the address requested, the HTTP status returned, the referring address if the browser sent one, and the browser's user-agent string.

• Purpose: keeping the site available, diagnosing faults, and detecting abuse such as automated attacks.
• Retention: 30 days, after which entries are rotated out and deleted.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security and correct operation of the service.
• Use: these logs are not used to build profiles, to measure audiences, or for any commercial purpose, and they are not combined with any other data.

3.3 A preference stored in your own browser

If you use the light/dark theme switch, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key site-theme. This is not a cookie: it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we cannot read it. It stays on your device until you clear your browser's site data. If you never touch the switch, nothing is stored at all.

4. Who else is involved

We use three categories of service provider, and no others:

• A hosting provider, which operates the servers this site runs on and generates the access logs described above.
• An email provider, which carries and stores the correspondence described above.
• A content delivery and security network. This site is served through Cloudflare, which sits between your browser and our server: it terminates the encrypted connection, filters hostile traffic, and passes the request on to us. The practical consequence is that Cloudflare handles every request you make to this site, and processes the same technical data described in section 3.2 — your IP address, the address requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string.

We name that third provider, where we describe the other two only by role, because it is the one you can check for yourself: the server and cf-ray headers on any response from this site identify it, and a claim you can verify is worth more than one you cannot.

It places nothing in the page. No script, style, font or image comes from it, and opening a page here requires no request to any Cloudflare address. Two qualifications, both narrower than they sound: a response header asks your browser to report failed connections to a Cloudflare address, which happens only when a request to this site actually fails; and if a request is ever interrupted by a security challenge, passing it may set a short-lived cookie recording that fact. Neither is analytics, and neither occurs on an ordinary page view.

These providers process data on our behalf and under contract, for the purposes set out here and for nothing else. Depending on where their infrastructure is located, data may be processed outside your country of residence; where that involves a transfer outside Türkiye or the EEA, it is made subject to appropriate safeguards. A delivery network of this kind is global by design, so your request is normally handled at the location nearest you rather than in Türkiye. If you want the current identity and location of the hosting and email providers before contacting us, ask at [email protected] and we will tell you.

We may also disclose information where we are legally obliged to, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. Nothing is disclosed for any commercial reason, because nothing here is for sale.

5. Your rights

Because the company is established in Türkiye, processing is governed by the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu, Law No. 6698). Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies to a visitor in the EEA or the United Kingdom, we honour the equivalent rights under it.

You may ask us to:

• confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete what we hold, where there is no overriding reason to keep it;
• restrict or object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests;
• withdraw a consent you gave, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it;
• receive data you gave us in a portable form, where that right applies.

Write to [email protected]. We will respond within the period the applicable law allows, and in any event we aim to acknowledge within five business days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold about you is correspondence you sent us, which means a deletion request is usually straightforward. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting, but only to the extent necessary — and we will never ask you for a password, a recovery phrase or a payment in order to process a request.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, please raise it with us first. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority: in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu); in the EEA or the United Kingdom, your national data protection authority.

6. Children

This site publishes general technical writing and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process personal data relating to a child. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

7. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. It accepts no input of any kind: there is no form, no login and no endpoint that takes a submission, so there is no user-supplied data for it to mishandle. Access to the mailbox that receives correspondence is limited to the people who need it.

The most effective privacy measure here is the amount of data that is never collected in the first place. No safeguard can make transmission over the internet perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

8. Changes to this policy

If what the site does changes, this page changes in the same release — not afterwards. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. If we ever introduce cookies, analytics or any third-party component, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated first, and any consent required by law will be requested before such a component loads.
